Internet Domain Name Region Search Help

What is this?

When receiving e-mail, or surfing around the world I often saw regional domain name designations such as computers@access.ch or charles@computerworks.freinet.de and wondered where they were located. This web page was written to provide quick answers to this question.

How do I use the Internet Domain Name Abbreviation database?

You can enter the Regional Designation you wish to locate into the first data entry field field (for example ch) or you can enter the name of the country or region into the Regional Location field (for example canada). Pressing the Tab key will move you between fields.

Once your specification has been entered into the fields click on the Find button (or hit the or key) to look this entry up in the regions database. The result will be returned to your Browser in a few seconds.

If any incorrect data has been entered, or the designation could not be found, an error message will be returned.

Nuts and Bolts information about the Internet Domain Name Abbreviation database
